Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern your access to and use of HaltOps (the "Service") at www.haltops.com, operated by HaltOps ("we", "us"). By creating an account, subscribing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

HaltOps is a support tool for human decisions: it provides fraud-prevention management (structured processes and checklists) and data analytics (statistical tests over data you upload). It does not issue verdicts or fraud determinations; its outputs assist review, and every decision and conclusion is the customer's. The Service is provided on a software-as-a-service basis and may evolve over time.

3. Accounts, eligibility and roles

To purchase, you must provide a valid corporate email and identification details. Personal email providers (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) are not accepted for paying accounts. The buyer becomes the organization Administrator and may create Editor and Reader users up to the seat limit of the plan. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Payment, term and refunds

Plans are billed as a one-time annual payment processed by PayPal; there is no automatic renewal. Access is granted for twelve (12) months from activation. To continue after that period you make a new payment. Prices are shown before purchase. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once the Service has been provisioned; contact us for billing questions.

5. Your data and lawful use

You retain all rights to the data you upload. You are solely responsible for having the legal right to upload and analyze that data and for complying with applicable laws (including data-protection and financial regulations). You must not upload data you are not authorized to process. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: attempting to breach security or access other organizations' data; sharing accounts to circumvent seat limits; reverse engineering; uploading malware; or using the Service for unlawful purposes. Analytics results are indicative tools to assist review and are not a determination of fraud or of any person's guilt.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and content are owned by HaltOps and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your active term. You keep ownership of your uploaded data and results derived from it.

8. Availability and disclaimer

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that results are error-free or that the Service will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HaltOps shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or loss of profits or data. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or unlawful use. On termination you may request an export of your data within a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date will change and material changes will be communicated where reasonable. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Ecuador.
